Armed robbery suspect in court

A 38-YEAR-old man has appeared in the Komani Magistrate’s Court following the armed robbery of a jewellery store on the Chris Hani Hexagon in Komani last week.
The Rep reported (“Suspect shot dead in jewellery store robbery” November 4) that a man was shot dead and another wounded after a shootout ensued during the robbery at about 4pm.
Police spokes-man captain Namhla Mdleleni said the case had been remanded until November 14.
The man’s identity has not been made known due to the ongoing investigation, she said.
