Nehawu Matthew Goniwe acting regional secretary Mvuyisi Siko said about 85 people participated in the march , which aimed to deliver a memorandum, detailing demands including concern over salaries of workers in the departments of social development and public service and administration.
Concern over poor working conditions was also raised in the memorandum.
He said the memorandum was received by social development head of department Stanley Khanyile.
“He said they will get back to us by today,” Siko said.
The march formed part of a national movement headed by the union.
