THE Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality has indicated that Mlungisi will be without power for five days from June 3 to 8.
In a statement today following the announcement of expected lengthy outages in the Komani area to allow work on transformers and substations, EMLM spokesman Gcobani Msindwana said some interventions were being conducted by the technical services department and the contractor.
Load management would take place in other areas.
Msindwana said constant communication on electricity outages would take place with the affected communities.
“Businesses are urged to exercise caution by switching off air conditioners and all appliances that consume high volumes of electricity. We urge communities to make alternative necessary arrangements during this time.”
