A LARGE section of the Komani CBD is without power this morning in line with the scheduled maintenance of the Western sub station.
Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality spokesman Gcobani Msindwana said load sharing was being done with the power supply moved to the town hall and Ebden Street substations but that an overload had occurred.
“We are trying to do load balancing and management.”
Msindwana said there were also outages in other areas due to a cable fault which was being repaired.
Residents have been active on social media, warning that robots are not functional in the CBD.
