Today marks the first Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises ( MSMEs) International Day celebration.
The celebration was declared by the United Nations with the aim to encourage SMEs to be the first responders to societal needs and to provide the safety net for inclusiveness. Chris Hani Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) branch manager Mzimkhumlu Ndlelo said local small enterprises must fight to grow.
“They should understand that it is not just a one day event for SMEs – they must work hard to make more profits in order to employ more people and to expand the Chris Hani economy.”
