ADDRESSING a capacity crowd of more than 60 businesswomen at a breakfast at The Gallery at a women in business session organised by SEDA/ECDC and the Black Management Forum recently, Dr L.K Ndaba, medical doctor of Ndaba Hendricks Kazimbe Inc. urged women to invest their time, resources and energy wisely.
Ndaba was speaking under the theme, ‘Grow, lead, inspire.’
He alluded to sound life investment areas involving spiritual, health, social, educational and financial. As a health care professional, he emphasised the investment in health, saying the body was an amazing, irreplaceable machine that needed to be looked after.
He said the body, functioning like a computer, depended on input-output management.
He encouraged women to take advantage of screening programmes (HIV, diabetes, pap smears, thyroid screening etc) and to take care of their sensitive organs and to attend to stress management and to make use of the family planning at their disposal.
He said health was wealth as a healthy body led to a healthy mind.
He inspired women to identify their gifts, talents and passion and make the best of these, allowing them to operate their businesses in an ethical manner.
He challenged them to be exemplary to each other and to be role models to female children.
He also called on women to share their skills, saying government and their male counterparts were in full support of their initiatives.
