MEMBERS of the Elliot police have seized an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in Elliot.
Police spokeswoman Captain Ursula Roelofse said K9 and CSC members, following up on information, arrested a suspect.
A link between the firearm and a robbery at an Elliot store was being investigated.
The arrest was in line with the police ‘Back to Basics’ campaign which prioritised crime intelligence in preventing and investigating crime.
