Waterdown dam level still low

The Waterdown Dam Picture: FILE

THE Waterdown Dam has taken over as the main supplier of Komani’s water as the Bonkolo Dam is below measurable level.

The dam, which is situated on the Klipplaat River near Whittlesea, was established in 1958. This photo was taken in 1984 and has been kept in The Rep archives.

The last available data on the level of the dam, as supplied by the Water Affairs Department earlier this month, showed it to be at 78.3%, down from 83% at the same time last year.
