DO you feel safe living in Komani, The Rep asked in its most recent online poll on www.therep.co.za.
The answer was that only 8.7% of the 45 respondents to the poll felt safe.
The remainder had various suggestions on how to make the area safer with the majority (41,3%) indicating that they did not feel safe at all and that more police patrols were needed.
A total 19.57% of the respondents said private security companies should become more involved and act as a back-up system to the police while 30.43% of the respondents felt that communities should be more vigilant and become involved in community policing forums to ensure safer neighbourhoods.
