Bus crash toll at 5

Accident: One male who was transferred to Frere Hospital on Wednesday night from the Bus Accident that occured at N6 near Sterkstroom has passed away and the number of those who died now has increased to five according to police spokeswoman Captain Namhla Mdleleni.

A Translux bus from East London to Pretoria overturned near Sterkstroom on Wednesday night and 24 people were rushed to Frontier Hospital in Komani.

Mdleleni said, “Four passengers from the accident died on the scene. Three bodies have been identified by their respective families.

“Two persons, aged 7 and 27 years were from the same family from Komani.” MEC Pemmy Majodina visited the family yesterday and expressed her condolences.                Picture:SIMTEMBILE MGIDI
