EMLM: Lights to stay on

POWER TO STAY ON: The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality (EMLM) administrator Vuyo Mlokoti, speaking from the municipal offices earlier today, has confirmed that the municipality has managed to strike a deal with the Eastern Cape Eskom provincial office to pay off millions that were requested by the power entity to keep the lights on.

According to Mlokoti, despite Eskom requesting to be paid R85-mill from the outstanding debt of R146,953,032, EMLM had managed to reach an agreement in a meeting which would allow the local authority to make part payments. To find out more do not miss The Rep next Friday
