While a power outage affecting Khayelitsha in Komani drags on towards the end of the week, it is not yet clear when the problem will be resolved.
The Rep reported earlier this week that the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality had reported problems at the substation.
The power has been off since Monday with the municipality indicating to the Daily Dispatch yesterday that the Khayelitsha substation had ‘collapsed.’
Msindwana said technicians indicated that the problems would be fixed soon. The Rep has requested an update from EMLM and will inform you of any progress in this regard.
