Stutterheim SPCA under attack

The Stutterheim SPCA has come under attack from a group of men who vandalised its offices and nearby house.

According to social media reports, two women at the SPCA were intimidated by a group of about 20 men believed to be part of a group involved in protest action in the embattled town yesterday.

The police intervened and escorted the women to safety.

During the afternoon the police helped the SPCA staff remove the animals from the shelter. The animals have been housed with the help of the King William’s Town SPCAa.

The Stutterheim SPCA has indicated that due to safety reasons, it was not known when they would return to the premises.
