South African weather forecaster Khumsa Masizana said Komani received 25.8 mm of rain during the 24 hour period since Tuesday.
Masizana said today we could expect 60% chance of rainfall with severe thunderstorms.
“Yesterday’s severe thunderstorms resulted to today’s downpour. The rainfall has mainly affected the northern interior of the Eastern Cape.”
There is a 60% chance of more tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, but the skies are due to clear on Sunday.
