Chris Hani District Municipality (CHDM) will be commemorating the annual World Environment Day which is celebrated on 5 June every year. The commemoration event by CHDM aims to raise awareness about issues related to the environmenta, and to further call on communities to be custodians of a healthier environment.
CHDM spokeswoman Thobeka Mqamelo said in this year’s event the municipality in partnership with Emalahleni Local Municipality would conduct a clean-up campaign and thereafter handover wheelly bins and trees to local schools in Cacadu.
