Load-shedding is continuing today and if news reports are anything to go by, South Africans should brace themselves for more intense blackouts.
According to reports, Eskom will implement Stage 4 load-shedding from 2pm today until 6am on Saturday, December 7.
The power utility implemented Stage 2 load-shedding from 4pm on Thursday, December 6 until 5am today, citing a severely constrained electricity system.
However, there is currently no mention of Stage 4 load-shedding on Eskom’s website. According to the site, Stage 2 load-shedding would continue today from 9am until 6am on Saturday.
More updates will follow.
