The United Kingdom prime minister, Boris Johnson has tested positive for the coronavirus. Johnson broke the news today in a video he posted on social media saying he would now self isolate.
“I have developed mild symptoms of the virus, that is to say a temperature and a persistent cough and on advice of the chief medical officer, I have taken a test that is come out positive. I am working from home, I am self isolating and that is entirely the right thing to do.
“But be in no doubt, thanks to the wizardry of modern technology, I will continue to communicate with all my top team and lead the national fight back against the coronavirus,” said Johnson.
