Komani protects its own

On Tuesday, Komani residents pulled together to prevent the looting that engulfed parts of the country this week from reaching the town.

While local dealers like Jacksons Isuzu Suzuki moved all their cars from display, local taxi associations banded together to protect the town from would-be rioters. Chris Hani District deputy mayor, Noncedo September, called for residents to resist any attempts to incite violence while business leaders called for calm.
