Komani cyclist on 2 300km challenge

KOMANI cyclist Clint le Roux will today enter the seventh day of the Freedom Challenge Race. Le Roux is cycling to raise funds for the Carel du Toit centre for deaf and hearing impaired children in Cape Town.

The Freedom Challenge takes cyclists through 2 300km of rough and rugged terrain over 26 days from Pietermaritzburg to Driemersfontein Wine and Country Estate in Wellington.

By all accounts, Le Roux was progressing well this week and told of sleeping under the stars and navigating through rivers and dongas as he presses on towards the finish line.

The Rep will have an interview with him on his return to Komani.
