Close golf day win for Blom


STUTTERHEIM – On Saturday, golfers played in the Ikhusasa golf day. The format was individual Stableford. The winner was Kyle Blom with 42 points and the runner-up John Rance with 41. Third was Andries Greeff on 40. Peter Hartley, Trevor Bennett and Elze Nel all ended on 37 points. Chris Smith, Jason Cooper, Morné Williams, Vaughn Bursey and Reece Daniel all ended on 35 points. Nearest the pin on the 9th/18th was Craig Sparks and on the 3rd/12th it was Buck King. Vaughn Bursey was closest for two on the 5th/14th.

ON Saturday the ladies’ A hockey team beat Old Boys 13-4 at Kat Leisure Park. Goals were shared by Teagan Barraud, Fiona Kleinhans, Muriel Coetzer and Julie-Ann Cawthorn. On Sunday the same team beat Buffs in Stutterheim by 4-0. Teagan Barraud scored the goals.

The ladies’ B team lost 0-1 and the men’s team beat Buffs 5-1.
