ANIMAL lover of Komani writes: The SPCA feature last week was truly inspiring (in that people still care for animals) and also heartbreaking.
The story calling for help in identifying a person who had simply thrown off a dog in need of help in the SPCA yard was also indicative of how some people truly just do not respect life. If you can treat an animal poorly, you will do the same to a human being.
Best wishes to the SPCA who do a tough job with very few resources in often challenging times. Your work does not go unnoticed.
I would, however, like to appeal to the Komani community to become involved. An increased effort from civil society is needed to keep organisations like the SPCA afloat.
