EZIBELENI police have made breakthroughs in a number of housebreaking cases, which date back to September.
Police spokeswoman, captain Namhla Mdleleni, said this week Ezibeleni detectives had been having sleepless nights trying to piece together evidence to effect arrests.
“On Monday evening the detectives made a breakthrough when they found television sets, household appliances and laptops and arrested four suspects.
“Police appeal to people who reported housebreaking cases to go to the Ezibeleni police station to identify their belongings.”
In a separate incident, Mdleleni said a 33-year-old disabled woman was allegedly raped in Machibini on Monday morning. “She was travelling to school in a bus.
“The bus had mechanical problems and she decided to walk home.
“ Two men aged around 20 allegedly raped her,” Mdleleni said, adding that no arrests had been made after the incident.
