Motorists travelling between Cathcart and Stutterheim this morning experienced a delay on the N6 following a service delivery protest in Fort Cunningham.
Burning tyres obscured the road, but the reason for the protest was not clear at the time of writing.
By 10am, motorists reported that they were able to travel in the area with transport officials and police watching over the situation.
Caution is however urged while travelling in the area.
