CHRIS Hani District Municipality (CHDM) councillors and officials will roll their sleeves up on Friday to do some clean up work in in six schools in the district that have performed well during 2016.
The six CHDM mayoral committee members will each be assigned a school with a team. Identified schools are Ekuphumleni Senior Secondary School (SSS) in Enoch Mgijima which obtained an 88.4% pass, Mcobololo SSS in Engcobo, 85% and J A Calata SSS in Nxuba Yethemba, 83.5%, Sifonondile SSS in Sakhisizwe 68.7%, Free Mantle in Emalahleni, 83.2% and Cofimvaba SSS in Intsika Yethu with 77%. The cleaning campaign will start at noon in all the schools, the district authority said in a statement.
