UNREST has erupted in the streets of Stutterheim in what is believed to be related to dissatisfaction by Amahlati municipal workers. Details of their grievances were not known at the time of going to press, but tyres have been burnt and streets blocked.
Municipal infrastructure is believed to have been damaged.
Police reported that some arrests have been made. Motorists are requested to drive with caution in the area.
