Walter Sisulu University (WSU) will launch a series of WSU Conversations, an internal platform for students to interact with management and staff to discuss educational issues, sharing valuable information. On Tuesday the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mahlomaholo, will host a panel of experienced academics and management in Mtata. They will be having these conversations between management and students, on a topic “Decolonised and De-commoditised University Education, and what does this mean for WSU?”
WSU spokeswoman, Yonela Tukwayo, said the WSU Conversations will take place in all campuses at different times, tackling various topics. The development of any educational institution depends vastly on the relationship built among its stakeholders and the standard of education, where quality assurance prevails.
“This initiative is a step in the direction to create an informal space for students, academics and management, to share equal opportunities in voicing their opinions, views and intellectual thinking, thereby fulfilling the WSU vision,”said Tukwayo.
