Cope eager to hear reshuffle reasons

THE Congress of the People (Cope) welcomed the North Gauteng High Court judgement that President Jacob Zuma had to explain the reasons why he reshuffled the Cabinet which saw the axing of former finance minister Pravin Gordhan and his deputy Mcebisi Jonas.
Cope national spokesman Dennis Bloem said the party was very eager to see if Zuma was still going to give his original reason about a “fake intelligence report for his reckless” midnight reshuffle. “Zuma’s own deputy Mr Cyril Ramaphosa and some of the ANC senior members have already publicly dismissed the so-called intelligence report as rubbish,” Bloem said.
He said Zuma should remember that lies have very short legs and the truth will eventually come out and Zuma’s (alleged) lies will catch-up with him. “Copewill demand that Zuma must pay for the legal costs out of his own pocket and not to use another cent of taxpayers’ money. We cannot allow Zuma to further abuse taxpayers’ money,” Bloem said.
