A CHILD suspected to be between the ages of eight and 10 died today in a collision between two vehicles just before 2pm near Dordrecht.
The other two occupants of the car transporting the child, two men aged between 21 and 23, are in a critical condition in Frontier Hospital in Komani.
The couple in the other car were both stable in the Queenstown Life Private Hospital.
Police spokesman Colonel Gcinikhaya Taleni said it could not be easily determined how the accident happened but that it was not a head-on collision.
The vehicles were however travelling in opposite directions and collided on a curve between Dordrecht and Komani.
