WATER shortages are being experienced in Komani after repairs on the Waterdown pipeline.
Tokkie Deysel of the Queenstown Civic and Ratepayers’ Assocation said a request for water carts to take water to the areas of Popcorn Valley, Mlungisi, Ezibeleni and Unathi Mkhefa had been made.
Reservoirs were low after the repairs which had been successfully completed.
Pumping was taken place but it would take almost a week to recover fully from the effect of the repairs.
Pumping was also being alternated between the different areas to keep all such areas with water.
Komani residents are being asked to use water sparingly.
