THE Cofimvaba police arrested a 25-year-old man for allegedly being in possession of an unlicensed firearm on Sunday.
Police spokesman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said the gun was seized during a stop-and-search operation in St Marks.
The suspect will appear in court today.
