A HAND NEEDED: While the much needed rain has been welcomed by all, it also comes with consequences. SPCA inspector Betty Cree said while the animal welfare body was looking forward to more rain, it had created some problems.
“The rain is causing the kennels to leak and the gutters are old so we have to move the dogs from one kennel to the next in order to clean them. Every second day we have to clean the walls so that no algae forms and when the walls are being cleaned, they do not feel stable.
