THE South African police, with officials from the Safety and Liaison Department and the local Community Policing Forum, conducted an imbizo at Zwartwater in the Glen Grey district on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said the purpose was to create awareness on crime trends in the area and to consult with the community and address challenges raised.
* In an unrelated incident, the Glen Grey police arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly being in possession of dagga on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said the man was taken into custody at Ggebenya village during a Back to Basics Operation.
