In The Rep’s poll over the past two weeks we asked the question: Komani has, through the years, been home to several renowned athletes and musicians. Yet the town, which once bore the title of “The Little Jazz Town,” has seemingly benefitted little from the amazing potential which has had its roots here. How do you think Komani should be harnessing this talent to ensure growth and development?
Seventeen people voted in the poll with the vast majority of 15 votes saying that the town needed to focus on the basics first by fixing infrastructure and cleaning up the town, thereafter promoting Komani as a hub for music and sports.
One vote was in favour of using the town’s reputation as a source of great talent to develop sports facilities and to establish a recording studio, while one person voted in favour of inviting well-known athletes and musicians back on a regular basis to perform/speak at festivals or workshops and to market such events broadly to ensure exposure for the town.
Thank you for your participation – look out for the new poll on our website from next week.
