A Komga couple is in custody after a drug raid in Komga on Friday night.
Police spokesman Captain Nkosikho Mzuku said police arrested the couple, aged 49 and 35 years respectively, after police acted on suspicions that drugs were being sold from the home.
A total of 37 Mandrax tablets and five kilograms of dagga in black bags were seized with an estimated street value of R7 220 as well as some cash.

The couple will be appearing in the Komga Magistrate’s Court on charges of dealing in drugs shortly.
Police said violent crime were also often associated with substance abuse.
