MEMBERS of the Komani police seized 44 boxes and 174 cartons of fake cigarettes on the N6 near Komani on Friday.
Police spokeswoman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said police, who were patrolling the N6, stopped a bakkie at night with a search allegedly revealing the fake cigarettes, valued at R890 000.
Two suspects were taken into custody.
Police cluster commander Major General Thembisile Patekile commended the members for their good work.
