MEMBERS of the Elliot police arrested several suspects for being drunk in public, selling liquor without a licence and closed down shebeens and confiscated liquor and illegal weapons yesterday.
Police spokesman Captain Ursula Roelofse said several stop and search operations were carried out with the focus on increased police visibility and targeted deployments of police resources over the festive period.
