A POLICE task team has rearrested four men who escaped from custody while bieng transported to the St Alban’s Correctional Facility after court proceedings on Wednesday. The Gelvandale police gave chase after the men allegedly managed to exit the police vehicle while they were being transported by two officers near Gelvandale, the Eastern Cape police indicated.
The four – al who had been sentenced for robbery – were William Kleinbooi, Marco Tiervlei, Etienne Andrews and Justin Bramwill.
The help of the airwing was called in and by early today, all four had been returned to custody.
