Komani police seize firearms in armed robberies investigation

MEMBERS of the K9 unit of Komani in conjunction with members of the Flying Squad have arrested two men and seized firearms in the town.

Police spokesman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said in a statement police, reacting on information that armed robbery suspects were hiding out in Komani, detained two men yesterday.

Two firearms, magazines, cellphones and a raincoat belonging to the South African Police Services, were seized.

The men are being investigated in connection with armed robberies in Indwe and in Cacadu, the latter where an ATM was robbed.

Acting cluster commander Brigadier Pumla Mavuka commended members for the good work done.
