THE Dutywa police are seeking a man who attacked and killed an 85-year-old woman near the town on Thursday.
Police spokesman Captain Jackson Manatha said the axe-wielding man, who wore a balaclava, entered the home and attacked the woman, identified as Silvia Thandiwe Dyasi, in her home at Mabheleni near the town. She died on the scene.
The deceased was with a relative – who was not harmed – at the time. The suspect then fled the scene.
