A STERKSTROOM grandmother, Denise Bartlett, 71, who was abducted from her home during an armed robbery on Tuesday evening has been found alive.
Bartlett and her granddaughter were assaulted during the robbery. The robbers then abducted Bartlett as they fled in her green Chev Spark. The vehicle was later found abandoned at Amberdale near Komani.

Police spokeswoman Captain Namhla Mdleleni confirmed this morning that Bartlett had been found alive in a house near Sterkstroom. She had allegedly been locked up in a house.
There has since been an outpouring joy on social media with people expressing their relief at her safe return.
She has been admitted to Sterkstroom hospital but was believed to be in a stable condition.
Two suspects are in custody.
