Today the nation remembers Chris Hani​

This day marks 25 years since the death of Chris Hani. The nation remembers one of the legendary men who was involved in fighting the apartheid government.

Martin Thembisile Hani was born in Komani. He was the leader of the South African Communist Party and the chief of staff of uMkhonto Wesizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress.

He was shot by an extremist Janusz Walus who is currently serving a life sentence.
