A KOMANI family woke up to find poisoned meat in their yard and their bakkie gone this morning.
The family, who did not want to be named, is resident in the Top Town area.
They said they had to take their dogs to the veterinarian. Both survived the poisoning.
The bakkie was later found further down the street as it seemed like the thieves could not get it to start. Bolt cutters had been used to break a chain on the gate.
They had not opened a case with the police but said they wanted to warn other residents that a similar operandi to that used earlier this year, when several dogs were poisoned and bakkies stolen in Komani, was being used again.
