Komani Veterans lend a helping hand

REACHING OUT: The Komani Veterans football club donated diapers, toiletries and household cleaning items to Mzwabantu Hospice last Sunday in celebration of Mandela month. Speaking during the handover the team’s chairman Sicelo Ndara indicated the visit was part of the team’s newly adopted social responsibility programme of making a positive impact in society. “As a team we felt it was necessary to play our part in this year’s Nelson Mandela commemoration. We are a team comprised of retired soccer players and we decided to dig deep in our own pockets and do the little we could and Mzwabantu Hospice was earmarked as one of the neediest organizations in town.” The hospice’s senior manager Thami Kanuka said she was grateful for the donations from the team Picture: SUPPLIED
