POLICE have found the carcasses of slaughtered sheep on farms in the Sterkstroom and Cathcart districts.
Police spokesman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said police, acting on information of stock theft in the Sterkstroom district over the weekend, found sheep already slaughtered on a farm.
In the second instance, police found slaughtered sheep on a farm in the Cathcart district. A cellphone was found near the sheep. The owner of the sheep has since identified his stock.
