The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality (EMLM) has confirmed that electricians are on site as a power outage in the Parkvale, Newvale and Sabata Dalindyebo continues.
The area has been stricken by repeated power outages which have resulted in dissatisfaction within the community.
EMLM spokesman Gcobani Msindwana confirmed that the power was currently off in the area and said electricians had indicated that this was due to an overload on the system. “Plans are in place to mitigate the situation,” he said.
The Rep is currently waiting for a more detailed response on what is being done to address the electricity situation in said area and hope to have a full report in The Rep on Friday.
