KOMANI Stars walked away with R1 700 in cash after claiming a victory during a penalty shoot outs against 1860 at the pre-season final match at the Dumpy Adams stadium on Sunday.
The first half began with 1860 FC dominating the game with striker Zuko Mlungu scored the opening goal 15 minutes into the game.
Komani Stars made its comeback about five minutes before the second half ended when winger Inga Mdini dribbled the ball past three players, beating the goalkeeper and leading to a 1-1 draw.
In the shootout, Komani Stars proved to be the better team.
Komani Stars coach Luzuko Ganca said, “It is good to win but the aim was to prepare for the SAB league and for the team to build combinations.”

The first match was won by 1860 3-2 on penalty shootouts after the match against Try Again ended on a 1-1 draw.
The game was followed by a 0-0 draw when Komani Stars faced Super 12.
Komani Stars won the match in penalties by 4-2 .
Kaizer United coach and tourney organiser Zukile Kaizer Mapoyi said the pre-season tournament which started last Sunday was joined by eight teams which included Kaizer United ,
Queenstown Hot Spurs, Rainbow and MK Academy which were relegated in last week’s first round.
Mapoyi said the teams paid R300 to participate in the tournament of which R700 was awarded to 1860 for ending second.
