Watch Komani talent on ShowvilleSA on SABC2 on Sunday

Guess what, Komani? You will have the opportunity to see some of the talent from the town which participated in ShowvilleSA during recent auditions in town on SABC2 at 4pm on Sunday.

The crew of Showville visited 12 South African dorpies over six weeks, recording loads of talent along the way during the second season of the hit variety show.

With a focus on finding the best variety acts in small towns around the country, Showville introduces audiences to a South Africa far removed from the hustle and bustle of the big cities and reveals the immense talent and heart-warming stories hidden in our own backyard. “When you’re travelling to small towns like Mossel Bay, Komani and Elliot, you think you have an idea of what to expect,” explains director Geoffrey Butler.  “But nothing prepared us for the beautiful stories, the level of talent, and the wonderful hospitality we encountered.

“We were overwhelmed by the wide variety of acts that showed up to compete this time around. From dancers and drag queens to comedian jugglers and rapping gymnasts, there was no shortage of talent wanting to show what they’ve got and take home the grand prize of R10 000 available for each town. “ And with each hopeful contestant came unforgettable stories of passion, community, family and a determination to succeed.

“One of the highlights of working on Showville is that it is a show that allows us to really change people’s lives. What we didn’t expect is that it would change ours too.”

Come on, Komani, watch the show and let’s pay tribute to our local talent!
