Clarity is being sought on the replacement of a transformer at the Western sub station which would see the return of power to the Westbourne, Madeira and King Park residential areas.
The areas have been without power since last Tuesday.
Unconfirmed reports today were that the transport of the transformer from East London had been delayed due to bad weather in the city.
In a community meeting on Tuesday night, indications were given that the power in said areas would be restored by Friday, but hopes were fading fast today as the transformer has not yet arrived.
