The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality (EMLM) electricity is under severe pressure due to the excessive use of air-conditioners. EMLM communications officer Gcobani Msindwana said customers were urged to use power sparingly during the heatwave and switch off air-conditioners. “There is electricity overload in the Nonesi Mall area and the CBD and power has since tripped as a result, and will be restored soon.”
