Author and former chairperson of the Electoral Commission of South Africa, Dr Brigalia Bam, delivered a memorial lecture themed ‘The woman of fortitude’ at the provincial Albertina Sisulu centenary celebration in Xolobe Village on Friday.
Bam described her as a leader who led via her action and an exemplary figure who managed to raise her children without her husband, Walter, who spent more than two decades incarcerated during the struggle .
